Dr Liz Iveson is an experienced Stroke and Neurorehabilitation Consultant based in York and Sheffield specialising in managing complex patients with a wide range of different symptoms, including pain, sleep disorders and spasticity. She was one of the first cannabis prescribers in the UK and is a founding member of the Medical Cannabis Clinicians Society, as well as giving many lectures and educational seminars. As part of her Rehabilitation work she looks after patients with Long covid and noted the similarities between their presentations and some of the symptoms that may be helped with cannabis. Dr Iveson is the Principal Investigator working with Drug Science and BOD looking at a UK first feasibility study of medical cannabis for the use in Long Covid.
