Dr Niraj Singh is a Consultant Psychiatrist and specialises in Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry. He has extensive experience in treating adults with ADHD, mental illness associated with Autism, intellectual disabilities as well as other mental illnesses.

Dr Singh is a University of Leicester medical school graduate and completed his core training in Leicestershire as well as his higher training in Nottinghamshire. He currently works as a community NHS Consultant since 2009 and also in private practice. He has extensive experience of treating people with medical cannabis.

He has a Postgraduate diploma in Mental Health Law as well as in Personal coaching and mentoring. He attained a Masters in Business Administration degree in 2013 and has been involved in the set up of healthcare sector services as well as making service improvements.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists which was awarded in 2020. He is also an executive member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists with both regional and national roles. In 2021 he took up post as an executive committee member for the UK Medical Cannabis Clinicians society.

He has written articles for ‘Cannabis Health News’ and has also contributed to medical cannabis education through webinars and face to face teaching.He has also been interviewed on prescribing medical cannabis on prominent websites.

He is actively involved in teaching both undergraduate medical students and is a registered clinical supervisor as well as educational supervisor for higher trainees.

He has published in well known journals and is involved currently in research projects.
